Carved from shadow and precision, the Zillij Z004 Shamsiya reinterprets the ancient language of light through a darker, more enigmatic lens. Drawing from the latticework of sun screens that once filtered brilliance into sacred interiors, this piece honors the interplay between concealment and clarity.
The deep obsidian lenses,rimless, faceted, and composed of ultra-light nylon , absorb and reflect with intention. Each cut edge captures fleeting rays, like light slipping through carved stone. The bridge and temples, crafted from gold-plated alloy, create a striking contrast, infusing the design with radiant warmth and a structure that feels both grounded and weightless.
